I actually meant to show this link on the UBG- BQH Part one webinar. We did chat a bit about these concepts in the webinar but I found the following article SO well written and useful I wanted to share them here.

Here is the link to the article

And here it is pasted so you can read-

When we reach a high vibrational frequency in our personal energy signature we attract more positive emotions and experiences But what is frequency exactly

WHAT IS FREQUENCY AND WHY YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT IT

“Frequency” is a word that gets tossed around quite often in the spiritual and metaphysical communities. But, what is frequency? In essence, frequency is the rate of vibration and oscillation measured over a specific period of time (usually one second). In layman’s terms, it’s simply a repeating sequence. Take a heartbeat, for example – the average heart rate frequency is 60-100 beats per minute.

When we reach a high frequency in our personal energy signature, we attract more positive emotions and experiences. Love, for instance, is a very high-frequency emotion. When we emit a low frequency, we drop into an ego-based mindset that can attract negativity, stress, anxiety, and depression into our experience. To break it down even further, consider the human body and what it’s made of. Everything breaks down to energy! The body itself is composed of different systems, which are made up of organs and tissues. The organs and tissues are made of cells, which are made of molecules, which are made up of atoms. Atoms are made of subatomic particles which are made of (you guessed it) energy! The idea that “everything is energy” is far from a woo-woo, unfounded claim. It’s a scientific fact.

The universe is impartial – it doesn’t judge or decide who should be punished. It simply responds to what we give out and express. Sometimes we fall into a victim mindset, believing that we’re chronically unlucky, or working through some accumulated karma. Mostly, however, we are simply dealing with the experiences, situations, and people that we’re attracting, like a magnet, through our own personal frequency. Thankfully, through mindfulness and strong intention, we have the power to bring into our lives positivity, beauty, happiness, and other joys.

Any great feat requires accumulating knowledge and information, of course, so it’s important to learn about the phenomena that shape our very existence.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VIBRATION AND FREQUENCY

The terms “frequency” and “vibration” are often used interchangeably. However, there’s a very important distinction to make here. We know now that frequency is the cycle of waves that are measured in a sequence. So, think of vibrations as the contraction of the energy within that frequency (oscillation would be the expansion of the energy). The vibrations per minute, for instance, make up the entire frequency sequence.

To answer the question of what is frequency? Let’s use a real-life example of frequency and vibration by considering the way guitar strings emit sound. The thicker, larger guitar strings move more slowly, and have a low frequency when plucked, while the thinner strings vibrate at a higher frequency. The vibratory waves of the thick strings move more slowly, giving the string’s natural frequency a lower frequency, and the vibratory waves of the thinner strings move quickly, emitting a higher overall frequency.

As frequency rate increases matter becomes lighter and lighter. Therefore, when we’re vibrating on a high frequency, our bodies can become lighter as a result. Energy patterns affect our very makeup, raising our consciousness and allowing us to reach levels beyond our comprehension.

    REDEFINING REALITY

We are the masters of our domains – we literally define our own reality with each action, thought, and word. Consider the fact that our perceived physical world is more energy than it is material. Imagine that! Look at your hand, and wrap your head around the idea that most of it is composed of a void, rather than material makeup. Atoms are made up of quarks and photons, which have no physical structure.

Understanding this is key to realizing that we have the power to make radical, quantum-level shifts in our lives. Perceiving everything as immovable and material keeps us in the third dimension, which is rife with rules and laws. Moving outside of this mindset enables us to work with the void between the material in order to create what we desire. We are not casual observers, but active ones.

Every material thing that you use and touch started out as a concept within the mind, then expanded into an action, then took on a material shape. This is magic itself! This magic even exists in the mundane world – think about something that you recently created in your life, such as a meal. Let’s say you thought “I’d love a chicken salad for lunch.” What happens next? You inevitably take the action to make it a reality, buying the necessary ingredients, tossing it together using your hands and your mind, and manifested it on a material level.

As an observer, you create the reality. You have the whole world in your hands. This concept helps us take responsibility for our lives, and enables us to take back the power that we never truly embraced. We must observe our thoughts, our hearts, and our surroundings to determine the frequency we’re emitting. So, what is frequency and why do you need to know about it? Read the words of the famous inventor, engineer, and futurist, Nikola Tesla…

“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” – Nikola Tesla

    RECOGNIZING FREQUENCY IN YOUR LIFE

The world of frequency and energy is often elusive to those who approach concepts solely with the mind. Energy must be felt and observed, completely and totally integrated into our awareness. Take a look around – what do you see?

    • How do you decorate your home?
    • What foods do you eat?
    • Who do you associate with?
    • Imagine attending a large party. Who do you find yourself gravitating to?

Beyond physical attractions, such as admiring a bright article of clothing, a pretty face, or welcoming body language, you will be drawn to certain people due to the feeling you get from them. This is the magnetic appeal we feel when someone vibrates at a similar resonance as us. After the party, we might remark, “I loved her vibe!” Although, once again, the word “vibe” gets thrown around without abandon, on a quantum level we’re recognizing a resonant energetic connection between ourselves and another person.

How often do you utter the words “I need” or “I can’t” or “I don’t?” Do you longingly sigh “I never” or “I wish”? Everything we think and voice turns out to be a self-fulfilling prophecy. If we exclaim that we “never get a break”, then we never will get a leg up, and when we say that we “can’t make ends meet” then we will find it even more difficult to bring abundance into our lives.

All of these aspects are clues that help us determine our signature frequency and answer the question, what is freque
ncy? Besides the scientific definition, frequency plays a huge roll in our everyday lives by attracting things and experiences into our field. When our desks our cluttered, our frequency is typically cluttered, too. When our friends are judgmental and cynical, we tend to be, as well. And, whether we realize it or not, the words we choose can reflect our inner state and simultaneously shape our external world. We feel energy all of the time, but many people simply aren’t sensitive enough to identify the subtle nuances. The world of energy is powerful, yet elusive because we don’t see it. But, just like the powerful emotion of love, it must be felt to be experienced.

20 Ways To Expand Your Consciousness And Raise Your Energy

So, what is frequency? It’s a big question and a powerful question and one that includes the very essence of who we are. Use the great mantra “You are what you think” to remind yourself that we are far more than what we perceive with our five senses. The world is mutable, bending to our will and moving fluidly around us at each suggestion that we give it. Once we open our eyes to the true realities of the universe, we will never again be blind to our true potential and the powerful influence we have not only on our own lives but on the entire world.
